The Cecil M Yuill Foundation is a registered charity set up to support future generations of building and civil engineering students. Working closely with Teesside University, the Foundation has helped many construction students achieve their dreams of gaining well paid professional employment within the industry.

Cecil M Yuill Foundation

The Cecil M Yuill Foundation was launched in 1994 with full Charitable status to support future generations of building and civil engineering students by introducing three permanent educational initiatives of which Cecil M Yuill himself would have been immensely proud.

The first is the establishment of the Cecil M Yuill Chair of Construction at Teesside University with the second being the provision of up to four financial awards to students of the University who have demonstrated significant self-motivation and progress throughout their courses. The third initiative rewards individuals who achieve academic excellence despite disadvantaged personal circumstances.

The Foundation is administered by a Board of Trustees.

 

Highlights from The Foundation:

  • 84 graduates have benefited from the Cecil M Yuill Prize
  • 2018 would be the 25th year of awarding the prize
  • To date £48.000 awarded to students for student prizes
  • To date £120,000  donated to sponsor a Chair in the School of Science, Engineering & Design
